Pest control for your home
Finding pests at home is stressful. Steve will tell you what you are dealing with, treat it safely and explain how to stop it coming back.

The calls Steve gets most
- Mice in the kitchen or loft, especially in autumn and winter when they come indoors
- Rats in the garden, under sheds and decking, or near bird feeders and compost
- Wasp nests in eaves, lofts, sheds and air bricks through the summer
- Bed bugs, often brought home in luggage or on second-hand furniture
- Fleas from pets, and ants coming in from the garden
What to expect
- Tell Steve what you have seen, or WhatsApp a photo
- He visits, finds the pest and how it is getting in
- He treats it and explains exactly what he has done
- He comes back where the treatment needs a follow-up
Landlords and letting agents are welcome too, including for HMOs and between tenancies.
Home pest control questions
Covering Kent, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex and Greater London.
Is pest treatment safe with children and pets in the house?
Yes, when it is done properly. Baits go in tamper-resistant stations out of reach, and Steve will tell you if you need to keep anyone out of a room for a while after a treatment.
Do I have to be home for the visit?
For indoor treatments, yes, or someone who can let Steve in. Some outdoor jobs, such as a wasp nest under the eaves, can often be treated while you are out.
I rent my home. Should I call my landlord first?
It is worth telling your landlord, as they may be responsible for the cost or for repairing gaps pests are using. Do not wait too long though: most pests get harder to clear the longer they are left.
Is it safe to have rodent bait in a house with children or pets?
Professional bait is placed inside tamper-resistant stations, positioned where children and pets cannot reach it. Steve will talk you through where everything is and what to look out for.
Do I need to throw my mattress away?
Usually not. Most mattresses can be treated. Steve will tell you if something is too badly affected to keep.
